after August no more shows

I may choose to enter a creation here or there occasionally in a group show- but I have decided that I am done with doing any one woman shows.  And markets/bazaars/fairs also.
The amount of work and time that goes into these is no longer viable. I want to keep my prices accessible and I just can't do that anymore with the cost of supplies and the huge amount of time involved.
here's an example:

1) create the art
*supplies
*time- lots of it
*inspiration
*skill

2) frame the art
*supplies
*time

*look for frames (thrift stores garage sales)
*purchase glass for those found without
*clean frames and glass
*cut board to size for backing
*cut mat if needed
*insert art
*staple backing and art
*paper back
*wire for hanging

3) keep framed art secure and clean until hung

4) hang the art
*supplies
*time- lots of it

Here's another class coming up.

BEGINNING PORTRAIT DRAWING
Jami
April 26, 10:30am – 3:30pm
$60
This one day workshop covers the very basics of drawing a likeness.
We will look at the basic structure of the face, and determine what it is that makes one person look different from another.
You will learn some techniques for putting pencil to paper to create dimension and detail. We will be drawing from photographs, so no need to worry about the model moving halfway through!
With this workshop you will build your skills and improve your ability at creating a likeness.

This class is for beginners & all ages are welcome.
There will be a brief break in the middle of class, so bring a snack or money to purchase something close by.
