I WILL- beginning tomorrow a Daily Challenge - 365 until 2015

ok! Here we go again.
A NEW Year - a New Calendar- a New Start- a New Chance to Begin Being again.

Here we go.

This is it.

This is the year I actually FOLLOW THROUGH on a few things.

Goals for this year are:

Be More Mindful.

One Thing at a Time.

No more Overwhelming Myself with so many Tasks that I don't get any of them Completed.

Pay Attention to and Maintain my blog.

Create.

Teach.

Learn.

Move Forward.

Not at all Lofty Goals.
Attainable.

Because Another Thing I want to do in 2014 is look at, REALLY Look at the Progress I make and not Discount the Small Things I am able to Accomplish.

I would say Wish Me Luck.... but this will not be Luck. This will be a Willful Choice to Do Better.
I will Work at this.
I will Accomplish this.

See you in 2014!!

Quote for the day:

I have been and am still on vacation (sort of)

I've been visiting my son in Virginia. There are a couple more weeks left.
It's been, shall we say, an adventure? A lesson? A reminder.

Reality came crashing in: I'm old.
3 kids- 6yr, almost 3yr and a baby. I often watch them so my son and wife can work around the house (they're getting ready to sell) or while they're at work, or running errands.
Long ago I had 3 kids. But I had a LOT more energy then.
I have to get down on the floor to change the baby and toddlers diapers; several times a day- and it takes quite a bit of twisting and turning and grunting and struggling to get back up again!
I'm sleeping in the 6yr olds bed. All my stuff is being kept in a small small area. I'm doing my best to keep eating within my own organic local parameters. But it is extremely difficult given the fact I have no vehicle, this is a small town, we are in VA not WA or OR. I'm starting to go just a smidge Crazy Grouchy Old Lady on them as I have had NO creative outlets or avenues. And when I don't create I get negative, unhappy and ...........bitchy.
Like I said- an adventure.

Art Post #11 phenomenal book art by Will Ashford

“Like an archeologist I hunt for the words that speak to me with new meaning. Intuitively, one word at a time, they turn into a kind of haiku or philosophical poetry that I can call my own.

“At some unpredictable point along the way, in my mind, the
images start to invent themselves. Using colored vellums, graphite and or India ink to highlight or obscure my words; I create the image of that invention. Though I strive to make each document visually engaging I find it is the words that I value most.”

what is this? Artist post #8 I think: David Fullarton

I love this guy.
No.
I mean it.
His sense of humor flabberghasts me.
I think he's funny- and talented- and he mixes the two together perfectly.
I love this guy.
